MAKE ROOM

Hospitality is not about having a perfect home or a perfect table. It is about making room. Room in your life, your attention, your schedule, and your heart for people God calls you to love.

The New Testament gives us a picture of believers becoming fellow workers for the truth by supporting what honours Christ. That means welcome is not only for people with large houses or special gifts. It belongs to the ordinary life of the church, where the love of Christ becomes visible through practical care.

Many people are lonely, unseen, or quietly carrying burdens. A simple invitation, a message, a cup of tea, a meal, or time to listen can become a doorway of grace.

Hospitality will sometimes interrupt comfort. It may stretch convenience. But Luke 14:13-14 shows Jesus calling His people to "invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind," because "you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just." The gospel makes generous people out of those who have been generously received.

Ask God to show you where you can make room. Not to impress anyone, but to love sincerely. Start simply. Open your heart before you worry about opening your home.

When hospitality is offered unto Christ, even ordinary welcome becomes holy.
