HOLD ON TO WHAT CHRIST HAS GIVEN YOU

One of the enemy's greatest strategies is not always to take away what God has given us but to convince us to surrender it ourselves. If someone tried to steal your wallet, your money, or something valuable that belonged to you, you would do everything possible to protect it. Yet how often do we allow people, circumstances, disappointments, or difficult seasons to rob us of something far more valuable? We surrender our joy, allow our peace to be replaced by anxiety, and permit fear or bitterness to take the place of the love and freedom Christ has already given us.

The circumstances around us may change, but what Christ has accomplished for us never does. Through His death and resurrection, He has brought us out of darkness and into His marvellous light. He has given us a new identity, a living hope, and a freedom that is not determined by how we feel or by what we face each day. The storms of life are real, but they do not have the authority to redefine who we are in Christ.

In David's great song of praise, he declares, “Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” These words remind God's people that thanksgiving is not based upon changing circumstances but upon the unchanging character of God. His goodness does not disappear when life becomes difficult, His love does not diminish when we fail, and His faithfulness is never determined by what we are facing. As we fix our hearts upon who He is, we are reminded that the joy, peace, and freedom He has given us are not things this world has the authority to take away.

Too often we hold tightly to our burdens while letting go of God's promises. We carry worries He has invited us to surrender and allow temporary struggles to overshadow eternal truths. Yet we were never called to run this race alone. Christ walks with His people, strengthens them, and reminds them that they belong to Him. He has not only saved us from sin, but He has also called us to live in the freedom He has already won for us.

Today, refuse to allow the enemy to steal what Christ has freely given. Do not surrender your joy to your circumstances or your peace to your fears. Bring your burdens before the Lord, thank Him for His unfailing goodness, and choose to walk in the freedom that belongs to every child of God.

You have been brought out of darkness into His light.

You have been made a new creation.

Walk today in the freedom Christ has already secured for you.
