The Story Behind Daily Dose

Born in a
Broken Place

Daily Dose did not begin as a project or an idea to gain attention. It was born in a very broken place — during recovery from years of addiction and hopelessness. Through the Word of God, preached consistently, everything began to change. Those notes became reflections. Those reflections became Daily Dose.

  • Born from genuine brokenness and recovery — not theory
  • Scripture-centred, not opinion-driven
  • Written for real people in real struggles
  • Consistent daily encouragement since day one
  • No pressure, no performance — just honest faith

About Daily Dose

Why Daily Dose Exists

Daily Dose did not begin as a project, a brand, or an idea to gain attention.

It was born in a very broken place.

There was a time in my life where addiction completely consumed me. Years of destruction, hopelessness, confusion and emptiness left me in a place where I genuinely did not know who I was anymore or where my life was heading. Like many people trapped in addiction, I spent years searching for relief, meaning and escape in the wrong places, while internally becoming more lost.

But during treatment, something began to change.

Every time I sat in church and listened to the Word of God being preached, it felt personal. It did not feel distant or religious. It felt like God was speaking directly into the condition of my life. Things I had buried, ignored, run from or tried to numb began surfacing through Scripture and through hearing truth consistently.

So I started taking notes.

Notes upon notes.

Not because I was planning to create anything one day, but because I was trying to hold onto every piece of truth that was helping pull me out of darkness and helping me understand who God was, who I was, and what real transformation actually looked like.

Over time, those notes became deeply personal reflections. They carried moments of conviction, healing, surrender, restoration and learning how to genuinely walk with God one day at a time. And eventually, there came a point where I realised I did not want to keep those things to myself.

I wanted other people to experience the same hope, truth and encouragement that had impacted me so deeply.

That is where Daily Dose was born.

Daily Dose was never meant to be polished, perfect or performative Christianity. It was created from a genuine place of wanting to point people back toward Christ through Scripture, reflection and honest faith. Especially people who feel broken, lost, exhausted, stuck, addicted, ashamed or spiritually distant.

Because I know what it feels like to sit in hopelessness and wonder if change is even possible.

And I also know what it feels like for God to begin rebuilding a life slowly, patiently and faithfully over time.

Daily Dose exists because the Word of God changed my life.

And if these reflections can help even one person keep going, return to God, find hope again, or realise they are not too far gone for His grace, then it is worth it.
