GETTING BACK ON TRACK
PSALM 23:3 (ESV)
“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
There are times where it becomes clear that something is off. Not everything has fallen apart, but something has shifted. Focus is not the same. Direction feels blurred. Things that once felt steady now feel uncertain.
It does not always happen suddenly. Sometimes it builds slowly, through distraction, pressure, or small compromises over time. Before long, you realise you are not where you were, and not where you want to be either.
That can be frustrating, because it can feel like everything now depends on you figuring out how to fix it. But PSALM 23:3 (ESV) brings a different starting point, “He restores my soul.” Restoration is not something you create through effort alone. It is something God does within you.
Jesus does not just point to the right path, He actively leads people back into it.
JOHN 10:27–28 (ESV) says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
That means even when you feel off track, you are not unknown to Him. He has not stepped away, and He has not stopped leading. The direction has not disappeared. It is still there, and it is still possible to respond.
Getting back on track does not require everything to be solved at once. It begins with a willingness to listen again, to respond again, and to follow again, even in small steps. As those steps are taken, clarity begins to return, and what once felt distant becomes steady again.
You may not feel where you want to be right now, but you are not outside of God’s ability to restore and lead. What feels out of place can be realigned, and what feels uncertain can become steady again as you allow Him to guide you forward.
