TRUST THE PROCESS

ROMANS 8:28 (ESV)

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

There are seasons where it is difficult to see how things are going to come together. Situations can feel scattered, unclear, or even like they are moving in the wrong direction. It is in those moments that trust is tested, not when everything makes sense, but when it does not.

ROMANS 8:28 (ESV) does not say that everything will feel good or look good in the moment. It says that God is working all things together for good. That means there is something happening beyond what can currently be seen, even if it is not fully understood at the time.

It is easy to try and make sense of everything immediately, to look for answers, or to try and control outcomes. But not everything is meant to be understood right away. Some things are being worked through over time, in ways that only become clear later.

Jesus often spoke about growth and development in ways that required patience, not instant clarity.

JAMES 1:2–4 (ESV) says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness…”

That shows that even difficult seasons are not wasted. They are part of a process that is shaping something deeper, something that would not be formed any other way. What feels like a delay can actually be preparation.

There can be a tendency to question whether things are really moving forward, especially when progress is not obvious. But movement is not always visible, and growth is not always immediate.

Trusting the process is not about ignoring what is happening.

It is about recognising that God is still at work within it.

And as that trust grows, what once felt uncertain begins to settle, not because everything is clear, but because you are no longer relying on your own understanding to carry it.
