THE ANSWER IS LIFE

Jun 13, 2026

PROVERBS 8:35 (ESV)

“For whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.”

People spend so much of their lives searching for answers. Some search through success, relationships, money, pleasure, recognition, addiction, distractions, or temporary comfort hoping something will finally bring peace to the heart. Yet many still remain empty even after gaining the very things they once believed would satisfy them. That is because the deepest need of the human heart cannot be fulfilled by temporary things. The answer has always been found in God.

PROVERBS 8:35 says, “For whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.” Real life is not simply existing physically. Real life is found in knowing God, walking with Him, and remaining connected to the One who created us. There are people carrying heavy burdens right now, battling fear, anxiety, shame, heartbreak, temptation, exhaustion, confusion, and pain silently. Many try carrying those struggles alone until the weight becomes overwhelming, yet the answer to every burden is not found in running further from God but drawing closer to Him.

Jesus says in JOHN 14:6 (ESV), “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Christ does not merely point people toward life. He is life itself. Everything people are truly searching for is ultimately found in Him. The world constantly offers substitutes for peace, but substitutes can never replace the presence of God. Temporary comfort may numb pain for a moment, but only Jesus can heal the heart completely.

Many people keep searching horizontally through the world for something that can only be found vertically through relationship with God. When life becomes difficult, people often begin looking everywhere else before seeking God first. Yet Jesus says clearly in MATTHEW 6:33 (ESV), “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Priority matters spiritually because when Christ becomes first in a person’s life, everything else slowly begins falling into its proper place.

This does not mean every circumstance changes overnight. There will still be trials, stretching seasons, disappointments, and moments where faith is tested. However, when a person remains close to Jesus, they stop walking through those seasons alone. God strengthens, guides, and carries His people through things they once thought would destroy them. Scripture repeatedly says to seek Him, knock, ask, and pursue Him wholeheartedly because God is not hiding Himself from people who genuinely desire Him. He draws near to surrendered hearts.

The closer people grow to Jesus, the more the things of this world begin losing their grip. Fear loses its control. Shame loses its voice. Sin loses its attraction because the presence of God transforms people from the inside out. Success without Christ will still leave emptiness, wealth without Him will still leave spiritual poverty, and recognition without Him will still leave the soul restless.

But whoever truly finds Jesus finds life.

Real life.

The kind of life that carries peace in chaos, strength in weakness, hope in suffering, and purpose through every season.

So seek Him wholeheartedly and make Christ your greatest pursuit, because the answer your soul has been searching for has always been found in Jesus.
